What is fourdrinier paper machine

Fourdrinier paper machine main feature is that it has a conveyor-type forming part composed of endless wire,it is composed of wet section (including headbox, former, press section) and dry section(dryer section, calender section, reeling). According to the number of formers and dryers, it can be divided into single fourdrinier, double fourdrinier, multiple fourdrinier and other models;according to working speed, it is divided into low speed and high speed. Most of the paper machines that produce newsprint and other bulk products are high-speed paper machines, with a large capacity.

The working surface is arranged horizontally or nearly horizontally, and adjustable forming and dewatering elements are arranged below working surface, such as forming plates, table rolls, scrappers, moisture absorption box, suction box, vacuum roll etc. The return surface is supported by correction roll, tension roll and anilox roll. Generally, flat roll is the active roll. The paper material sprayed from headbox onto fourdrinier wire is dehydrated and formed, and then sent to press section after reaching certain dryness. The fourdrinier former varies with the variety and specifications of the papermaking paper and the speed of the paper, and the configuration of its components is also different. But principle of sheet forming is the same.
