It also adds pigments to the surface of the web, improving bursting strength in kraft papers and better printability in printing paper, kraft paper, and board paper.

Structure:

The sizing machine is arranged in an oblique row, with a pair of sizing rollers set at an angle of 30° in the horizontal direction, while the horizontal type is at 0°. The paper sheet, drawn by the dryer group, enters the sizing tank composed of two sizing rollers. The paper is sized and then dried in the next group of drying cylinders. The two rollers consist of one chrome-plated roller or artificial stone roller and one special rubber roller for sizing. The upper roller is fixed, and the rubber roller is pressed upwards. The pressure is pneumatic, utilizing a double-curved pneumatic tire device. Transmission is divided into single-point transmission and bidirectional transmission.

Paper Surface Treatment

Surface Sizing: This process aims to effectively improve the quality of the produced paper and reduce sizing agent consumption due to better retention compared to sizing within the substance.

Surface Treatment by Special Agents: This process is utilized to achieve hydrophobic and greaseproof properties, among others.

Surface Dyeing: This method offers cost savings compared to dyeing within the substance, enables the creation of special color effects, and reduces wastewater pollution.

Application of Thin Layers of Special Coatings: These coatings may include thermoplastics, pigments, clays, etc.

Technical Specifications:

1. Press rolls are dynamically balanced for required speeds and provided with Micro-rock coated and rubber-coated bearings fitted in CI bearing housing, which is made watertight.
2. The sizing agent is delivered through distribution piping between press rolls and maintained by external gates.
3. The volume of the sizing agent can be regulated by means of hand-operated or electro-pneumatically controlled valves. Excessive volume of the sizing agent is removed through several waste troughs.
4. The frame set is made heavy-duty from MS Fabricated Plates.
5. A box-type lever with GM bushes is provided for press roll adjustments.
6. A tray for the removal of extra starch is made from SS material.
7. Spray pipes for starch solution are provided over the size press rolls.
8. Doctor holders with doctor arrangement are provided for cleaning the press rolls.
9. Paper Roll and Dancing Roll are provided for the free movement of paper from the Size Press, duly bearing fitting in CI bearing housing, and are dynamically balanced.
